Every year we provide over 3,000 callers
with advice and guidance around children’s issues. We
encourage anyone in the community - parents, ministers,
doctors, social workers, teachers, psychologists, etc
- who are facing barriers in getting a child what he
or she needs to call us.
When a call comes into our office, it is directed
to one of our professional staff of advocates. The
advocate will listen to the issues, gather important
information and work with the caller to develop a plan
to ensure the child is appropriately served. Many times
our advocates are able to provide the needed support
through phone contact alone. If we are unable
to resolve the issues through advice and guidance,
the child’s situation will be reviewed for case
assignment to an advocate.
