First Wednesdays: Special Education Evaluations

March 7 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Have you ever wondered why your child receives so many different evaluations during the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process? Would you like to know more about what those assessments are, and how to interpret them? This workshop will explain the basics of the evaluation process and commonly used assessments so that parents, caregivers, and professionals can use the results to better advocate for services and supports for their children.

What are First Wednesdays?

The First Wednesday Series of workshops and trainings offers an opportunity for parents, family members, and professionals who advocate for children to learn about special education and school discipline.

This session will take place in Training Room 1 in the Children and Family Services Center at the corner of Davidson and East Fifth Street in Charlotte.
