Community of Advocates
Community of Advocates is a Council for Children’s Rights grassroots
initiative working to connect child advocates with community leaders
and elected officials to effectively address children’s needs.
The goal is to establish children’s public policy centers in
communities across the state that will systematically study problems,
propose solutions and keep community leaders and elected officials
involved on an ongoing basis.
The result—meaningful relationships built on shared goals and
mutual respect— is a major shift from traditional lobbying efforts
of the past. This will create more effective, cohesive public policy
on issues affecting the safety, health, and education of all children. |
