At Council for Children’s Rights, the health and safety of our child clients and their families, our steadfast volunteers and supporters, our community at large, and our dedicated team of board and staff is always at the front of our mind.
While our attorneys, social workers, program staff, and management staff will continue to advance the mission, we will be adhering to details set forth in a recent memo sent jointly by Chief Justice Beasley and NC Administrative Office of the Courts Director outlining the reduction of operations in courthouses throughout the state.
Our staff will continue to uphold the rights of the children we serve, but will be working remotely in an effort to protect our clients and our community as well as to support local, state, and national efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19. We intend to resume normal office operations on Monday, March 30th, but will closely monitor the situation and adjust the date as needed.
As the Council continues to work for children and families during this time, we urge you to stay safe and healthy by following recommendations to wash hands frequently, practice social distancing, and avoid large meetings and gatherings. For up-to-date information, visit the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services website or the Center for Disease Control website.
As always, thank you so much for your continued support as we work together to manage this public health challenge.
