Section 504 Plans

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504) is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against students with disabilities, and requires that the needs of students with disabilities are met as adequately as the needs of non-disabled students. This workshop will help you understand who is protected under Section 504, how to request a Section 504 Plan, the differences between an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and a Section 504 Plan, and the available grievance procedures.

There are daily parking entrances from the left lane of East 5th Street just before North Alexander Street or from North Alexander Street. Exit tokens are available from building security. If the lot is full, the signs at the daily entrances will say “Monthly Only,” but parking is available at meters on East 5th Street in front of the building or in lots on adjacent blocks.
